An arm lift, also known as Brachioplasty, surgically removes excess skin, providing tighter and more defined contours. Excess skin around the arms can develop as the result of weight fluctuation, aging, and genetics. If you are self-conscious about your arms and find yourself hiding under loose-fitting sleeves year round, you may be a good candidate.
One of our Board Certified Surgeons will create a natural look and shape your upper arms by removing the excess skin and tissue. Scarring is hidden by making an incision on the inside of the arm. Once the incision is made, liposuction techniques may be used to suction out excess fat as well as remove the loose skin surgically.
Following your arm lift surgery, you’ll need to wear a compressive dressing that will be removed after one week. The procedure typically results in mild to moderate pain, which can be managed with prescription medication. However, recovery time is relatively short, and you should be back to work within a week or two.
