Am I a Good Candidate for Breast Augmentation?
Breast surgery may be a good option for you if meet the following qualifications:
- Physically healthy
- Realistic expectations
- Breast tissue is fully developed
- Feel your breasts are too small
- Dissatisfied with your breasts losing shape and volume as a result of pregnancy, weight loss, or aging
- Breasts are not symmetrical

However, breast augmentation surgery does not correct severely drooping breasts.

How to Prepare for Breast Augmentation
The first step to prepare for your surgical procedure is by scheduling a consultation with our expert team. At your consultation, our board-certified surgeon will assess your breasts, discuss the pros and cons of saline implants vs. silicone implants, and explain the procedure in detail to make sure it is right for you. Your medical history will also be discussed and we can give you information about breast augmentation cost, based on the specifics of your personalized procedure.
Before the procedure, patients should stop smoking for at least two weeks and avoid the use of blood-thinning medications and herbal supplements, which our staff will discuss with you. Staying hydrated and eating a healthy diet will give your body the nutrients it needs to safely and quickly recover.
The Breast Augmentation Procedure
Breast augmentations are typically performed under monitored anesthesia care with local anesthetic medicine at our accredited surgery center. At the start of the procedure, your breast augmentation surgeon will make an incision under the breast. They will insert the breast implants you’ve chosen either underneath the pectoralis (the chest muscle) or just above the pectoralis (sub glandular).
We offer saline breast implants, silicone breast implants, and gummy bear implants, a new type of silicone gel breast implants. All are safe and can provide natural-looking results. You can discuss all of the options, including materials, size, and more, during your initial consultation.
Breast Augmentation Recovery
After breast augmentation procedures, mild to moderate swelling, bruising, and discomfort is expected. In the first 24 hours after breast augmentation procedures, a patient’s activity should be restricted. For the first two weeks, a patient must not get their bandages wet. These will be removed at your two week visit with the doctor. Patients normally take six to eight weeks to fully recover from their breast augmentation procedure and must stay in a sports bra with no underwire the entire time. There will be lifting restrictions while recovering as well. Following these instructions is necessary to prevent capsular contracture and other complications.
